Meet Happy Days Food and Wine Festival – the new community-centric festival that’s bound for Burleigh

The Gold Coast is home to a stellar line-up of restaurants, distilleries and provisioners and Burleigh Heads’ new festival is set to showcase just that. Happy Days Food and Wine Festival kicks off for the first time this October, with a rich tapestry of local and national talent coming together for four days of festivities. Backdropped by Burleigh’s world-class beach, the new festival will be a celebration of all this fine city has to offer.

Whilst the state’s music festival scene has definitely undergone some major shifts in the last year or two, the local food festival scene remains strong. From Savour the Tweed to NOOSA alive!, there are still plenty of opportunities this summer season to tuck into some gourmet street food and kick back with some live entertainment. One new calendar-worthy addition is Happy Days Food and Wine Festival, which is set to take over the beachside suburb from October 4-7. The Esplanade will transform for four vibrant days of festivities with multiple stages, food vendors, pop-up bars and community wellness activities. Plus, free entry

“We wanted to create an event that truly represents the unique spirit of the Gold Coast,” explains festival director, Dan Rogers. “From the music to the food to the wellness offerings, Happy Days is about bringing people together to celebrate all the things that make this place special. Burleigh Heads is the perfect setting for that — it’s a beautiful blend of natural beauty, vibrant culture, and an incredibly supportive local community.”

On the menu, Happy Days has snagged a wide array of local food vendors to keep you satiated all festival long – with everything from fresh seafood to delectable desserts. Whet your appetite with the likes of Fresh Catch, As a Matter of PlatterBill’s BurgersThat Gelato Co, Bug Rolling, Brazzo BoysSamba Catering CoMotha TruckaGreek Street KantinaEl Corazon Cantina and Bigoli.

The stages will be set amidst Burleigh’s natural beauty, inviting you to experience a diverse mix of genres, from acoustic folk to upbeat electronic, in the open air.

True to form, this Gold Coast-based festival will also have a dedicated wellness zone featuring yoga and pilates classes, meditation workshops, and mindful activities for all ages.
