Dance and prance to Paradise Centre for all your festive essentials

Dec 04, 2024, updated Dec 16, 2024

Christmas has officially arrived at Paradise Centre – bringing with it a hearty dose of festive cheer and all your festive essentials. From last minute gifts to Christmas-lunch trimmings, Paradise Centre has well and truly decked the halls this year with everything you could need. Whether you’re a local or just calling Paradise home for Christmas, there are fleets of festive fun just waiting to be found…

Sing loud for all to hear at Carols on the Beach
Follow Buddy the Elf’s lead this Christmas time and spread festive cheer by singing loud for all to hear when carolers take over Surfer’s Paradise Beach on December 15. Grab a bite at one of Paradise Centre’s many food outposts (we’re thinking of a taste bud-tantalising two-hander from Wahlburgers) and snag yourself a spot on the sandy shores for a night of festive fun. On the line-up, you’ll find the likes of Lenny Pearce (maker of toddler techno), the incomparable Emma Memma (the ARIA-winning children’s music and dance show extraordinaire) and more set to perform the very best modern and traditional carols in a three-hour festival event. The night will finish up with a dazzling firework display finale to kick off the countdown to Christmas with a bang.

Pick up your feet with Paradise Centre’s Christmas Eve free entertainment
A staple of any Christmas Eve is a quick dash to the shops to pick up all those last-minute must haves before the big day. Discover stocking stuffers for the whole family from new kicks at Surf Dive N Ski to luxury sunglasses at iKandi Sunglasses or a new rashie from Rip Curl. Lucky for us, Paradise Centre is making your Christmas Eve errands the main event with a fun-filled program of festive performances. Catch the Rollerskating Reindeers gliding and jingling all the way through the centre whilst snapping some pics with Beau the Budgie and his elf buddy. Plus, DJ Axel Taylor will be spinning tracks in the beachfront dining precinct for a boogie.

Feast your way through Christmas Day at Paradise Centre
If the prospect of cooking away in a hot kitchen on Christmas Day doesn’t spark joy this year, you can always head to Paradise Centre for a feast at its dining precinct. This year, El Camino Cantina will be slinging its famous tacos, fajitas and frozen margs for a very Feliz Navidad. At La Playa, the Paradise Centre eatery will be open from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm so you can grab everything from an early morning coffee to a Mediterranean-inspired dinner and any cravings in between. For even more festive fun, Timezone will be open from 9:00 am, offering you an immersive (and air-conditioned) escape from all the action.

Ring in the New Year with dazzling fireworks
The beachfront precinct is ready to turn up the volume and ring in the New Year to some sweet beats by DJ Axel Taylor. The resident DJ will be spinning tracks from 2:00 pm, whilst Paradise Centre’s array of eateries host a fleet of festivities. At 8:00 pm, Surfers Paradise will be taking the celebration sky high with its glittering firework display, with another show scheduled for when the clock strikes midnight.

Plus, the centre’s Woolworths will be open throughout the festive period as well (with the exception of Christmas Day) – in the very likely case you need to stock up on any essentials, be it – toilet paper, snacks or ear plugs.

With convenient parking available at Paradise Centre via Hanlan Street, your Christmas errands have never been easier. Discover more about Christmas at Paradise Centre here.
