Bosco

Simon Hill, the hospitality veteran behind Bar Alto, is the brain behind Bosco – a moody restaurant and wine bar located in a warehouse in the back streets of Newstead. Bosco boasts an industrial yet cosy design, with a striking brick-encased woodfire hearth –complete with a custom-made Infiernillo open-fire oven – as its centrepiece. The menu, shaped by Simon and chefs Sajith Vengateri and Mimmo Miceli, highlights simple grilled dishes inspired by the oil regions of Spain, France, and Italy, with a strong focus on bread. Standout dishes include oven-baked gilda flatbreads, pig trotter flambeed oysters, and Basque-style black onyx rib. The wine list, crafted from Simon’s extensive cellar program, is tailored to complement the menu with regional selections from Burgundy, Italy, and Australia. Bosco’s cocktail menu centers on amaro and aperitifs, alongside craft beers, providing a relaxed yet well-rounded dining experience.
