D.Vino Bistro & Vinoteca is an intimate 40-seater Italian restaurant in Woollongabba. Its interior conjures the atmosphere of a relaxed dinner party with bar and table seating, seating, with a tasteful mix of lounge and saxophone house music burbling away in the background. Drawing inspiration from European hospitality, particularly the wine bars and restaurants of Piedmont in northern Italy, D.Vino’s menu presents share-style shares as well as innovative a la carte options prepared with passion and care using high-quality ingredients. Feast from the ocean with antipasti like yellow-fin tuna tartare or oven-baked Victorian scallops topped with trout caviar, as well as secondi like gnocchi alla amalfitana with seafood ragout and mussels, or market fish grilled with asparagus, parsnip veloute and baked kale. You can also dine off the land with Italian-style cassoulet and charcoal-grilled lamb. Be sure to leave room for D.Vino’s decadent dessert menu, which includes the likes of warm pistachio souffle and the Non Sono Un Formaggio or ‘I’m Not A Cheese’ – mandarin mousse paired chocolate-cake crumble and sheep ricotta. The menu is backed by an extensive wine list featuring more than 400 drops. The collection is predominantly French and Italian, with a few niche Australian producers sprinkled in. There is also a tightly curated collection of cocktails, carefully chosen to complement the culinary offerings.
