Camp Hill welcomed Florence to its midst in 2018. Originally the brainchild of Elizabeth Florence and Sam Pethely, Florence has continued to flourish under new owners committed to maintain the cafe’s legacy of offering an approachable, nourishing and thoughtful dining experience in a neighbourhood setting. Florence serves all-day breakfast and lunch, preparing as much as possible from scratch including ferments, pickles and baked goods. Highlights of the menu include sourdough flatbread with sauce vierge and buffalo-milk mozzarella, sourdough hotcakes with cherry, salted coconut and shiso, muesli with apricot yoghurt, sesame and fermented honey, and pork schnitzel, cafe de Florence and lemon. On the drinks front, Florence serves coffee from Cavalier Coffee Roasters alongside matcha lattes, hibiscus tea and smoothies.
