On any given morning, it’s not unusual to see a crowd of caffeine seekers lingering outside of Greenhaus. The chic 25-sqm coffee spot, positioned on the corner of Chester and Doggett Street – a short trot from both James Street and Gasworks – was originally opened by Alison and Brett Hutley of Botanical Real Food in 2017. Now owned and operated by Declan Gamack, Greenhaus has continued to evolve into a cherished community go-to, with locals flocking for a silky coffee and a cheeky chat with Declan and his friendly team. While coffee anchors Greenhaus’ offering, the cafe also serves a few choice eats, including smashed avocado on sourdough from Sprout Artisan Bakery, Haus baguettes stuffed with prosciutto, bocconcini and New Farm Deli pesto, and overnight oats.
