A once-buzzing corner of Fortitude Valley was reenergised in 2024 when the group behind Burleigh Heads institution Justin Lane took over the famed corner previously home to Alfred & Constance. Renowned for its pizza, pasta and party vibes, Justin Lane has brought much of its beloved offering to its Brisbane expansion site, which mixes revitalised heritage elements with new amenities. The Justin Lane crew – alongside Space Cubed Design Studio – has added its signature aesthetic spin to the venue, which boasts a 200-capacity dining space, a high-end underground cocktail bar and vinyl lounge, a rooftop space and a soon-to-open cafe and takeaway pizzeria. The menu is largely the same as Burleigh Heads, with sourdough pizzas and handmade pasta to star alongside a new selection of antipasti, snacks and a stellar cocktail list. Expect wine to be a bigger focus, with the Justin Lane team eager to bolster the range of its vino to better cater to Brisbane oenophiles.
