Nestled in the heart of Woolloongabba’s famous Logan Road cul-de-sac dining hub is Lemak Kitchen and Bar – a 55-seat neon-lit eatery from the team behind beloved street-food concept, Lemak. Here, the brand’s Malaysian-inspired eats are joined by an expanded range of Southeast Asian flavours, with influences from Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore filtering into the menu. In addition to Malaysian staples like nasi lemak, crispy fried-chicken sandwiches and char kway teow, guests can devour the likes of roti canai with Moreton Bay bug salad, wat tan hor (flat rice noodles with egg gravy) served with jumbo prawns, nasi goreng with crab meat, Crying Tiger beef served with chilli jam, chicken noodle soup with rice ho fun noodles, succulent satay skewers and beef rendang curry puffs. The bar will soon dispense mainstream beers, fine wines and inventive signature cocktails made with artisanal local spirits, as well as house-made beverages like teh tarik (a popular hot milk tea beverage), iced bandung (a sweet and creamy rose-flavoured rink) and iced lemon Ribena.
