When Crust & Co. Artisan Baking closed following extensive flood damage in 2022, many croissant connoisseurs thought they’d seen the last of the beloved bakeries pistachio croissants. Thankfully, owner Sebastien Pisasale and head baker and 2IC Trifide Belkacemi had other plans in mind. In early 2023 the duo opened Oh My Bread in Grange, a brand-new bakery concept that continues the legacy Crust & Co. first established in 2013, but adds plenty of new elements to help it establish its own identity. Here, French baking techniques are used to create a tight range of breads, pastries, savouries and viennoiseries. On the bread front, expect to see plain white sourdough, wholemeal loaves, dark rye loaves and sesame baguettes, while the pastry cabinet is filled with croissants (yes including the beloved pistachio croissant), blueberry danishes and a New York roll (croissant dough baked into a scroll, which is then filled cream and crowned with tasty toppings). The selection is expected to grow further, with a broadened array of savoury items – think quiches and loaded baguettes – to be added soon.
