Following the massive success of its Paddington-based neighbourhood bar Patio, the Range Brewing opened a new sunny suds spot over in Camp Hill in October 2024. Rays by Range is located on the corner of Martha Street and Newman Avenue in the space previously home to Ze Pickle, with the team exchanging the burger joint’s grungy aesthetic for one that is warmer and more vibrant. Boasting 85 seats across indoor and footpath areas, Rays contours its brick-encased bones with warm timbers and accents of yellow and electric blue. Punters familiar with Patio’s offering will find a lot to like at Rays, which boasts a similar beverage menu anchored by ten taps of Range beers (plus two taps dispensing LATTA Vino), as well as an additional wine list and a clutch of cocktails. On the food front, expect Range’s beloved sourdough-base pizza selection, snacks like braised and fried lamb ribs, and halloumi fries with lemon and pepper seasoning, and two venue-exclusive mains – panko-crumbed chicken schnitzel with cabbage slaw, mayo and tonkatsu sauce, and a fish sando featuring panko-crumbed fish cakes with dill creme fraiche and lemon on white bread.
