Prepare yourself for an unforgettable journey into the world of Relic – a site-specific dance-theatre experience that blurs the lines between performance and visual art. This groundbreaking collaboration between the Australasian Dance Collective and Urban Art Projects is a boundary-pushing reimagining of Jack Lister’s celebrated Still Life film trilogy, and examines the interplay of mortality, fragility, youth and spirit.

Taking notes from the enduring themes of 16th- and 17th-century still life paintings and the poignant symbolism of the memento mori tradition, Relic harnesses the fearless spirit of motocross to explore the notion of mortality. Audiences are invited to the Urban Art Projects Foundry from March 7–9 to witness the mesmerising journey of discovery, as the storied space transforms with an immersive collection of vignettes, each scene showcasing a glimpse of the delicacy of life through a collision of visual art, performance, beauty and brutality. The unmissable Relic experience features Australasian Dance Collective’s award-wining company artists alongside special guest and Opera Queensland soprano Leanne Kenneally.

The unmissable Relic is taking over Urban Art Projects Foundry for three exclusive nights of performances from March 7–9, 2025.
