Uptown Brisbane is bringing the holiday magic this November and December, decking the halls with a brick-load of festive fun, creative joy and tiny toys. Experience Christmas frivolity with LEGO brick window displays, charitable initiatives, workshops and free activities for all ages, all in Uptown at the top of the Queen Street Mall.

Ben The Brick Builder, will reimagine Uptown for the holiday season, creating Festive Windows from LEGO bricks. Marvel at three original diorama displays: ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, a life-size room rendered in LEGO bricks that captures the anticipation of Christmas Eve; Winter Wonderland, a classic alpine village scene in miniature with hidden details; and Festive Postcard with Santa flying high above the Brisbane City skyline. The Brick Builder will also present the hands-on Master Builder Workshop series from November 30 inspiring fans of miniature LEGO bricks to create their own custom Christmas decorations to take home.

Makers from age 18 months and above can also enjoy free family-friendly activities from 10:00 am daily across two LEGO Brick Play Zones, including DUPLO, crafting Christmas cards and contributing to an oversized LEGO bricks by numbers artwork. Capture all the joy of the season with a festive photo moment at the pop-up 2.1 metre-high LEGO brick tree, where you can snap a selfie for a brick-tacular take on the traditional Christmas pic between November 28 and December 24 from 10:00 am daily.

You can wrap up your seasonal shopping at the Charity Gift-Wrapping Station, available from 10:00 am daily, December 13-24, where Uptown’s volunteer elves will expertly wrap up to three presents with your generous donation supporting this year’s charities: Heart Kids and the Sommerville Rural & Regional Scholarship in Memory of Kate Benjamin.

LEGO brick Play Zone
Have a block party with LEGO bricks in Uptown’s free festive activity space. Stamp your own Christmas card, contribute to a large LEGO brick by numbers artwork and take a selfie with the 2.1m-high LEGO brick tree.
