The Calile Hotel launches its new Rooftop Harvest event series with Julia Busuttil Nishimura

Beloved cook, presenter and best-selling author Julia Busuttil Nishimura is set to host her first-ever Brisbane event at The Calile Hotel this March. The culinary queen is coming to town to kick off the hotel’s new event series, Rooftop Harvest, which promises an exciting line-up of exclusive events celebrating food, experimental concepts and fresh new ideas.

Admired for her comforting and uncomplicated approach to food, Julia Busuttil Nishimura has garnered a loyal worldwide following. If you’re a keen home cook, chances are you’re familiar with Julia’s inspiring and utterly delicious Instagram presence. Or you’re a proud owner of one (or all) of her four cookbooks, with many pages lovingly splattered by the remains of your attempts to recreate her delicious recipes.

Brisbane fans finally have the chance to experience Julia’s engaging food philosophy first-hand on Thursday March 13, in what will be the first of The Calile’s new Rooftop Harvest series. The evening will start with welcome drinks and canapes, followed by a live cooking demonstration in The Calile’s rooftop garden. The event progresses to the hotel’s amphitheatre where Julia will host an intimate multi-course dinner using seasonal ingredients from The Calile’s late-summer rooftop harvest.

The unmissable culinary event aims to honour food as the great connecting force to our environment and each other, utilising Julia’s ethos of creating memorable meals and shared experiences through cooking.
