High tea for her majesty – treat your mum like a queen with Bacchus Mother’s Day feast

Apr 14, 2025, updated Apr 14, 2025

Nestled away on the podium level of Rydges Hotel at South Bank, Bacchus Restaurant invites you to bring your mumma (or mum-like figure) to unwind and savour a high tea like no other.

We can all agree that one day simply isn’t enough to celebrate the magic of mums. To remedy this, Bacchus Restaurant is doubling the love, hosting its bespoke Mother’s Day High Tea – filled with exquisite treats and sparkling bubbles – over May 10–11.

Maintaining its philosophy of going beyond the menu to create special memories, the Bacchus team is going all out with its bespoke Mother’s Day High Tea over Saturday 10 May and Sunday May 11. We won’t lie to you, the curated menu is delightful – featuring a dreamy spread of delights from fluffy black cocoa scones with jam and cream to delicate framboise pistachio treats, savoury squid-ink salami tarts and luxurious crab remoulade sliders crowned with Kaviari caviar. The menu is singing with luxury, and we are here for it!

Mother's Day High Tea at Bacchus | The Weekend Edition

Although, what’s a high-tea without the tea … or champagne? On arrival, guests will be gifted a glass of effervescent G.H. Mumm before sipping on their choice of Harney & Sons fine teas or barista coffee – or if mum requests, you can upgrade your afternoon with endless bubbles.

While there are five seating times over the weekend, this event is extremely popular – so we recommend booking in early. Those who book in for a Sunday high-tea will also be serenaded with an unforgettable acoustic set by award-winning live-looping artist Alisha Todd.

For an afternoon of elegance, indulgence and love, look no further than an exclusive Mother’s Day high-tea at Bacchus.
