Mitchell Ogilvie, the man, was but 21 when he opened Mitchell Ogilvie Menswear on Edward Street in April 1981. Now, almost 44 years later the name has become synonymous with the stylish man-about-town, having seen visits from business leaders, politicians, royalty, and movie stars. The next-generation expansion on James Street (between Maryon’s and Aēsop) is officially open now.
“I am filled with an immense sense of excitement surrounding the James Street opening,” says Mitchell Ogilvie. “This is beyond an expansion, it is a bold step into the future of luxury menswear for Brisbane. Our new concept store is a testament to the evolution of style and meets the growing demand of customers, offering a sophisticated blend of casualwear and bespoke tailoring that caters to the stylish customer.”
