Our picks for the best Gold Coast brunch

Brunch really is the meal to beat them all. Is it breakfast? Is it lunch? Is it the Goldilocks meal that perfectly aligns with the mid-morning rumbles of your tummy? Yes, to all three. A hearty and flavoursome Gold Coast brunch truly is the elixir of life, especially when there is the option to add a cheeky splash of booze. Whether it’s a Saturday morning mimosa to get the weekend started or a dusty Sunday’s bloody Mary to serve as the hair of the dog, nothing washes down your brunch of choice quite like a cocktail. In the spirit of mid-morning sipping and snacking, we’ve put together a handy list of spots to enjoy the best brunch on the Gold Coast.

Elk Espresso, Broadbeach: Elk always tops the list among locals when it comes to the Gold Coast brunch of choice, especially considering boozy brunches flow daily from 10:00 am. When it comes to food, Elk changes their menu with each season to ensure you’re always feasting your eyes and taste buds on the freshest produce. Whether you’re after something creative like peanut butter and jelly French toast or one of the classics (eggs on toast), you can guarantee everyone will be left satisfied with brunch at Elk.

Bam Bam Bakehouse, Mermaid Beach: Croissants and cocktails? Yes, way. Brunches at Bam Bam are a great idea any day of the week – get yourself a mimosa (or wine or beer if you’re that way inclined) while you work your way through some Bam Bam shrooms or the croissant French toast with chantilly cream.

Whether you’re ogling some stacked ricotta pancakes or the zucchini and potato rosti with organic greens, the menu will have something to sate your cravings.
