Madame V, Palm Beach
Gold Coast, meet Madame V – the dazzling new Asian-inspired gem from the minds behind Little Truffle Dining Room & Bar. Created by celebrated chef Daniel Ridgeway and his wife, Ruggie, Madame V promises a unique blend of traditional and modern Asian flavours. This opulent venue greets guests with mirrored gold-accented doors, leading to an emerald-curtained lounge bar and a luxurious dining space of velvet booths and chandeliers. Adding to the allure are three private dining rooms, including the prized Sakura Room, where groups can enjoy a private chef or bartender. The menu is as impressive as the setting, featuring dishes like lobster baos, rainbow sushi rolls with caviar and wagyu porterhouse with yakiniku, plus a sweet finale of red velvet soft-serve with hazelnut brittle. JUJU, Nobby Beach
At long last, JUJU has landed in Nobby Beach, bringing Euro-chic vibes to a two-level dining and nightlife destination. Created by local hospitality visionaries Cody Beck and Trent Redman, JUJU blends fine dining with an after-party ambiance, offering a modern Australian menu by celebrated chef YK, whose global experience includes Michelin-starred kitchens. On the ground level, terracotta booths and plush green seating set the stage for dishes like kingfish sashimi, Moreton Bay bug pasta and a show-stopping 1.5-kg “Tommy’s TomaHawk.” When dinner wraps, the night is just beginning – head to the rooftop bar, complete with a retractable roof, crafted cocktails, and a DJ-saxophonist duo, transforming JUJU into a spontaneous Euro-inspired party. Perfect for those looking to skip the Surfers Paradise scene, JUJU promises an all-in-one dining and cocktail experience with just a hint of revelry.
Tommy’s Taco Bar, Currumbin
Currumbin’s creekside hotspot Little Tommy’s has been reborn as Tommy’s Taco Bar, a lively pop-up taqueria bringing a burst of Mexican flavour to the coast! The latest creation from Tom Torchut and Ronnie Tarabay, Tommy’s Taco Bar, promises a fun, tequila-fuelled escape with electro-house beats and Euro-summer vibes. The team’s extensive menu research has resulted in a concise lineup of crowd-pleasers, from zesty ceviche and jalapeno-topped potatoes to mouth-watering tacos like slow-cooked short ribs, crispy KFC chicken and cheesy birria quesabirrias. Families are welcome with kid-friendly quesadillas, while $7 tacos ($5 on Tuesdays!) make it a wallet-friendly new addition to the foodie scene. And for a sweet finish? Homemade churros with coconut dulce de leche. The drinks are equally as impressive, with a coconut margarita that’s made with real coconut water a stand-out. There’s also an extensive selection of sip-worthy tequila and mezcal served with fresh chasers like verdita and sangrita. Tommy’s Taco Bar is here for a good time not a long one, grab your friends and soak in the festive flavours before it’s gone!
Ciccio’s Pizza and Gelato, Broadbeach
Redefining pizza with unexpected toppings and a contemporary, ultra-light crust, this 60-seat Broadbeach gem is brought to life by Sicilian pizza expert Emanuele Malara and business partner Enzo Marturano. Showcasing bold creations like sushi-inspired Tonnara with tuna, shallots and honey, and the vibrant Purple Rain with Italian sausage atop a purple potato base, the menu spans from classic to curious. Ciccio’s signature featuring a carrot base, pulled beef, cherries and stracciatella has been an early stand-out, but don’t take our word for it. Just be sure to leave room for dessert! With fresh Italian gelato, including Emanuele’s specialty Zuppa inglese, and optional Sicilian-style brioche buns, this is a must-visit for pizza adventurers and gelato lovers alike.
Home, Currumbin
Dishing up what could very well be our fave avocado on toast, ever, is Home in Currumbin, which is all about comfort food and community vibes. Brought to life by a trio of locals with deep roots in the area, Sam Chilcott, Wade Brenchley, and chef Nic Philip, Home is a warm, surf-inspired spot where locals and visitors feel like they belong. From the early morning coffee crowd to the brunch-goers, Home serves up a fresh menu that elevates familiar favourites – think avocado toast with charred peppers, potato hash with walnut parmesan and indulgent French toast with chocolate cremeaux. With a cosy, revamped interior and a sunny courtyard takeaway counter, Home offers Currumbin a relaxed, welcoming place to gather, eat and unwind.
