DRM Pop-up Christmas Market, Eagleby – Saturday December 7
If you’re keen to show some love to local makers this year, with a side of festive fun, then head to the Distillery Road Markets pop-up Christmas event. Eagleby’s Distillery Road Market (located halfway between Brisbane and the Gold Coast) will come alive with stalls stocked to the brim with a strictly handmade range of goodies. Gold Coast Potters Association’s Christmas Art & Crafters Market, December 1
The Gold Coast Potters’ popular Christmas Market is back again this year, with delicious food, music and more than 35 amazing art and crafts stalls featuring handmade creations by local artists. You’ll find everything from ceramic pieces to jewellery, sculptures, glass creations, textiles and more as well as some live loom weaving and clay sculpture demonstrations. There will be food stalls (and most importantly, coffee!), live music and great vibes. Kicking off at 8:00 am, the Christmas Art & Crafters Market is the perfect place to get a cracking start on your Christmas shopping.
Surfers Paradise Christmas Twilight Markets, December 14
Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets will be hosting a Christmas pop-up market on Saturday December 14 from 4:00–9:00 pm. Expect toe-tapping music, roving entertainment, unique handmade gifts, artisan provisions and kids activities galore. Plus, there will even be a visit from the big man himself and rumour has it, Santa’s ditching his reindeers to make a grand entrance on a specially-wrapped surfboard.
The Village Markets Christmas Pop-Up, December 12 and 19
When it comes to buying local, it’s hard to go past The Village Markets (TVM) – which relocated this year to Robina Town Centre. Sleighing into town at 4:00 pm, we strongly recommend carving out a good chunk of time to wander the more than 50 creative stalls at your leisure. When you’ve crossed everyone off your list (including a little something for yourself), nab a spot under a tree and soak in the live tunes.
Gold Coast Christmas Markets, Broadwater Parklands – December 20–22
This twilight Christmas market is the perfect way to get set for the season. Held at the Broadwater Parklands from December 20 to December 22, the Christmas markets will run from 4:00–10:00 pm daily. Expect to be met by plenty of stalls offering everything you need for a very special Christmas. Plus, kids will love the interactive activities, roaming characters and glittering lights, while the whole family can enjoy the delicious selection of street food served up by local and visiting vendors.
Tamborine’s MAMMOTH Twilight Country Markets, November 29
Tamborine’s biggest Christmas market is back this November. Discover unique gifts, festive decorations and so much more from carefully curated local vendors at the Bearded Dragon Hotel’s Twilight Christmas Country Markets. Kids can post their letters to Santa, live music will fill the air and furry friends like donkeys and alpacas will even be making an appearance. There will also be food trucks and the bars serving up delicious goodies as well.
TAFE Queensland Christmas Market, November 14
Immerse yourself in the holiday spirit as you wander through rows of beautifully adorned stalls, each with its unique treasures and handcrafted wonders at the TAFE Queensland Christmas Market.
