All December long, Sanctuary Cove will be the spot to capture some picture-perfect memories. Its gigantic Christmas decorations make for excellent set dressing, particularly when dramatically lit up. Take a leisurely sunset stroll to catch some sweet seasonal sights and snaps.
You can also partake in the classic Christmas tradition of getting a photo with Santa at Sanctuary Cove from December 7–15. Bring the whole family along, including any four-legged members – pet-friendly sessions are available, because Santa is here to hear everybody’s Christmas wishes, be they a new PlayStation or a juicy bone.
The big man will also be testing his sea legs this season, at Cruises with Santa on December 7 and 14. Board the Kilkie Ferry for a 30-minute cruise along the beautiful local waterways, with Santa sitting starboard for some festive chats and a sing-a-long of all your favourite carols. Plus. he’s bringing goody bags for everyone aboard! Tickets are limited to 20 people per cruise so be sure to get in quick sticks.
On December 12, bring your picnic blankets and gather for some sensational singing under the stars with Carols on the Lawn. This free event will feature classic Christmas carols, a buggy parade hosted by The Rotary Club of Hope Island and a show-stopping firework finale.
If you’re hankering for a festive feast, The InterContinental Sanctuary Cove is hosting a couple of special events this festive season. Stop by on the night before the big day for a delightful fusion of modern Australian flavours and traditional Christmas fare at the Christmas Eve Seafood Buffet. Be sure to save some room for the in-house pastry chef’s decadent dessert collection, featuring a traditional Christmas yule log, fruit mince pies and other indulgent sweet treats.
