The highly anticipated TRYP by Wyndham Southport Gold Coast has officially opened its doors, offering a stylish new destination for visitors to the Gold Coast. Located within the $3.8 billion Imperial Square development, the 4.5-star hotel marks a significant milestone for both the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts brand and TRYP, representing the the brand’s Queensland debut and the second property in Australia.
TRYP by Wyndham Southport Gold Coast offers 225 self-contained one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments designed with modern travellers in mind. Contemporary amenities and spacious layouts are complemented by fully equipped kitchens, dining areas, plush king-size beds and large floor-to-ceiling windows that provide stunning views of the city and surrounding waterways. The opening represents a significant milestone in the ongoing transformation of Southport into a thriving, vibrant hub for both residents and visitors.

In addition to its elegant accommodations, the apartment-hotel boasts luxe amenities designed for relaxation and comfort. Guests can unwind by the rooftop infinity pool, offering panoramic views of the city and ocean, or book into the luxurious day spa (opening soon), zen out in the super-sized steam room or work up a sweat in the state-of-the-art fitness centre.
A highlight of TRYP by Wyndham Southport Gold Coast is the hotel’s exclusive dining experience at Amore Ristorante, an Italian and Mediterranean restaurant that brings a taste of coastal Europe to the Gold Coast. With seating for up to 100 people and one of the city’s largest pizza ovens imported from Italy, Amore Ristorante walks the line between casual and elevated dining, with a menu that caters to a range of tastes.
For business events or social gatherings, the hotel features flexible meeting spaces, including a function room and a rooftop meeting room. These venues are ideal for conferences, seminars and private functions.
The apartment-hotel is the first major piece in the $3.8 Billion Imperial Square development, which is set to become a new landmark for the Gold Coast. Future plans include the tallest towers on the Gold Coast, The Majesty, a 108-level building, the 68-level Imperial Tower and the 40-level Monarch Place.
