Amore Ristorante

TRYP by Wyndham Southport has unveiled its onsite restaurant, Amore Ristorante. Executive chef Robert McWhinnie has curated the offering, which spans from casual eats to elevated Italian cuisine. Think oysters and Venetian scallops alongside blossoms stuffed with crab mousse and burrata from Byron Bay. The pasta is a stand-out, with each pillow and strand made in house. The wagyu beef bolognese is set to be a crowd favourite, followed by the pumpkin tortellini and the fresh crab and Ballina pipis. Mains include whole boneless chicken with lemon-cashew cream and whole lamb shoulder. In true Italian style, desserts range from chocolate cannoli, tiramisu made with Lavazza coffee and a fiery bombe Alaska. Rounding out Amore Ristorante’s offering is a carefully curated wine list that highlights Italy’s renowned vineyards alongside local favourites and cocktails crafted by the venue’s mixologists.
