Picture this – a cool ocean breeze, laid-back vibes and a menu filled with mouth watering bites and refreshing drinks, this is Bruce. Nestled along Pacific Parade in Currumbin, the relaxed neighbourhood noshery is the handiwork of Elizabeth Ennis (Barefoot Currumbin and Barefoot Palm Beach) and delivers a menu of snacks ranging from bites of Korean-fried cauliflower, Byron Bay burrata, Szechwan squid and beef cheek braised in shiraz. As for the drinks, Bruce offers a local-centric selection of craft brews from Currumbin Valley Brewing, Black Hops and Lacey’s Lager on tap alongside a clutch of wines and cocktails. Tequila lovers will be in a happy place with the One Inch Punch (1800 Coconut tequila, lime juice, chilli and agave) or the aptly named The Almighty (Tromba tequila, Cointreau, watermelon, mint and lime juice), which is available frozen or on the rocks. If you’re all about groovy tunes, delectable treats, and craft beers, then Bruce is definitely your scene. To sweeten the deal there’s a daily special from 3:00–5:00 pm featuring $1 gyoza paired with your choice of drink. One last thing to know about Bruce is that there’s no reservations, just come as you are and pull up a table.
