Fat stacks of buttermilk pancakes, big, beautiful burgers, classic American-style hotdogs and old-fashioned shakes are just some of the drool-inducing dishes you will find on the menu at the soon-to-open Pancake Diner. The family friendly restaurant will be the second Gold Coast location, joining a sibling spot at The Strand in Coolangatta. Owners Glen and Michelle Day, 35-year hospitality veterans, created the concept to deliver quality, hearty food that people enjoy in a vibrant, old-school diner setting. We’re told the new Varsity haunt will boast a classic ’50s diner aesthetic complete with red and white leather booths and a hand-painted Route 66 mural.
Pancake Diner Burleigh will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner from 7:00 am and will be fully licensed. The grand-opening is slated for Saturday December 2 with plenty of mouth-watering deals. As always, we’ll bring you all of the delicious details so watch this space.
