Aromatic and full of flavour, Thai cuisine is undoubtedly the ultimate crowd pleaser. Whether you’re in the mood for a cheeky takeaway massaman curry and spring rolls from the neighbourhood noshery or something a little more elevated for a dine-in experience, Isle of Capri’s Valyn Thai Restaurant & Bar has you covered with excellent eats, fanciful sips and impeccable vibes. The venue is the sixth Thai-centric eatery from hospitality veterans Pattaree (Pat) Jiranuchaiwattana and Vitchaya (Alex) Hasitawet, who also own Nahm Talay Thai in Surfers Paradise, Nahm Thai in Coomera and Chong Co Thai at Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, to name a few. Valyn Thai Restaurant & Bar brings together traditional flavours from all over Thailand and Southeast Asia but employs modern techniques and plating to create a thoroughly unique and delicious dining experience. Expect signatures such as Miang Kham betel-leaf wraps, fresh oysters with housemade dressing, Asian-style kingfish ceviche alongside beloved classics like Tom Yum soup, slow-cooked beef cheek massaman curry, and of course, the humble Pad Thai. The ingredients are worthy of a mention, with a wagyu MB9+, hiramasa kingfish and Hokkaido scallops, with plenty of innovative and theatrical plating to add a little drama to each dish. While often the drinks can be an afterthought, at Valyn Thai Restaurant & Bar are equally as impressive with bubble-topped martinis, fairy-floss adorned sips and dessert cocktails among the selection.
Oh, and if you’re in the mood to dine at home, pick-up orders get 10-percent off.
