Flotsam Surf Film & Photography Festival

The Flotsam Surf Film & Photography Festival returns for its fourth year from May 1–11, 2025, stretching from Coolangatta to Burleigh Heads in a two-week celebration of surf, stories and creativity. Whether you’re wave-obsessed or just chasing good vibes, Flotsam has something for everyone. It all kicks off with a lively Block Party across Coolangatta venues, blending vinyl beats, themed cocktails, and surf cinema. The action continues at the new Kirra Immerse Hub (May 2–4) with open-air films, workshops, art, and family-friendly fun, including environmental events with Surfrider Foundation. Highlights include adventure photographer Tony Harrington’s book launch, Richard Harvey’s nostalgic Bali exhibit, and the premiere of Women and the Wind.
