Sun, sand and spritzes – live your Euro summer dreams at Le Vacanze

For those of us who stayed in the country from May to September, Instagram was an unbearable place. Our feeds were filled with curated photo dumps – bronzed bodies, sunset-hued spritzes and heaping bowls of pasta, all against the backdrop of the sparkling Mediterranean Sea. If you missed out on European summer this year, lament no more – Sandfire is bringing it to you! For a limited time, you can escape to Le Vacanze and be transported to the Italian coastline, no passport necessary.

Perched on the sandy shores of the North Burleigh coastline, Sandfire is the perfect spot to breathe in the salty air over a cocktail or two. The absolute beachfront restaurant and cocktail bar oozes summer vibes already but is upping the ante for a limited time, transforming into a European summer escape with Le Vacanze.

From November 5, Sandfire will have a distinctly Italian personality, channelling the beach bars of the Amalfi coast. With a limoncello, spritz or Malfy Gin cocktail in hand and the ocean mist kissing your cheeks, you’ll be forgiven for thinking you might have somehow landed in Positano.

Adding to the Med vibes is Le Vacanze’s coastal-inspired menu, which focuses on fresh local produce and premium quality seafood. Spend a long afternoon by the sea grazing through the menu, starting with warm house-baked focaccia dipped in cold-pressed olio d’oliva and aged balsamic reduction. Snack on juicy watermelon pared with prosciutto, whipped fetta and toasted pistachios, plump fresh prawns with salsa rosa, or oysters topped with passionfruit granita.

For something more substantial, dip your fork into the handmade gnocchi, tossed in burro al tartufo with sauteed handpicked mushrooms, fresh oregano and crispy cavolo, or salivate over the charcoal-grilled lamb skewers served with warm pita and yoghurt, flambeed before your eyes at the table with sambuca.  You can also enjoy the likes of perfectly grilled MB6+ wagyu bistecca, delicately baked snapper fillet and a sangria duck roulade.

An Italian feast would not be complete without dolce – indulge in a serve of rich tiramisu or, if you prefer to stay savoury, opt for the curated selection of artisan formaggi.

Ready to be transported to Italy? Le Vacanze is only here for a limited time – head to the Sandfire website to book your table now.
