TikTok-famous Japanese chef Kichi Kichi, a viral sensation who has mesmerised millions with his personality-packed kitchen theatrics and skilfully prepared omurice, is returning to both Brisbane and the Gold Coast this March for a limited series of exclusive dining events.

Kichi Kichi fans can witness the omurice master’s cooking wizardry and beaming smile live at Harajuku Gyoza Broadbeach (March 22) and South Bank (March 23–25), with tickets now on sale for both lunch and dinner sittings. The fun-filled meet-and-eat events give diners front-row seats to their own Kichi Kichi show, as the famed chef masterfully whips up his viral sensation omurice – aka the ultimate Japanese comfort food – at each table. Have your phone ready to film the animated chef in action and sing along as he belts out his catchy ‘Happy Omurice’ song while plating up the iconic dish.

Tickets to this year’s event include a welcome drink, a serve of the famous omurice prepared by Kichi Kichi himself and a shared banquet of Harajuku Gyoza’s most delicious dishes. Think grilled pork gyoza, stretchy cheese gyoza and its new sweet sensation – the Mont Blanc air cheesecake.

The unmissable events mark Kichi Kichi’s second takeover of Harajuku Gyoza in as many years. The Kyoto chef’s 2024 visit was a sure-fire hit (we had the pleasure of attending – here’s a peek at the action) with the sittings selling out fast, so be quick to secure your tickets to his anticipated omurice-flipping encore.

The Kichi Kichi Meet & Eat events take place at Harajuku Gyoza Broadbeach on Saturday March 22 and Harajuku Gyoza South Bank from March 23–25.

Tickets are on sale now via the Harajuku Gyoza website.
