Sweets haven Dipcro Pastry expands with a new location in Main Beach

In late 2023, Dipcro Pastry made its Gold Coast debut on Chevron Island, with the patisserie’s eye-catching and deliciously flaky creations quickly earning it a loyal following from local pastry lovers. Less than a year and a half on, the sweets haven has expanded its footprint, opening a second (and much larger) location a little further north in Main Beach.

Buttery, flaky puff pastry – made fresh from scratch on site – is the hero at Dipcro, and the cornerstone of the patisserie’s entire menu. Just like its Chevron Island sibling, the pastry kitchen at the new Main Beach location is fully visible through large glass windows so diners can watch on as the dough is carefully crafted, folded, laminated and baked to perfection. At triple the size of its flagship location, there’s now ample room both inside and across a sun-kissed alfresco area for Dipcro fans to indulge in their favourite pastries with a coffee in hand.

In the eye-catching display cabinet, you’ll spy a line-up of picture-perfect pastries like buttery croissants and almond croissants, pain au chocolat, knotted cinnamon scrolls, strawberry-topped danishes, caramelised-pecan scrolls, hazelnut-praline crombolinis, chocolate-drizzled crookies, pistachio scrolls and mille-feuille. If you’re mad about matcha, there are plenty of green-hued creations that’ll catch your eye including a flaky tart with a belly of matcha-infused mochi and delicious matcha-dusted mille-feuille adorned with silky smooth matcha cream.

Front and centre in the cabinet is the patisserie’s signature namesake creation, the Dipcro – a round croissant-dough tart with delicious fillings like Biscoff, coconut pandan and vanilla custard. Each Dipcro is crowned with a crisp ‘dipscotti’ biscuit so you can scoop up the creamy filling as you go.

It’s not all about the sweets – Dipcro’s savoury game is equally strong. Think spinach and cheese pain Suisse, sausage crescents, and a sauteed-truffle-mushroom pastry topped with a sprinkle of parmesan and fresh chives. Even the humble ham and cheese croissant is taken to the next level with the addition of a rich Bolognese sauce and a slightly sweet honey-mustard glaze.

Dipcro has espresso and filter coffee by Campos on pour, alongside iced drinks, matcha lattes and juices. While pastries are best enjoyed with a coffee in hand, Dipcro is also licensed – so those feeling a little boujee can pair their treats with a flute (or two) of champagne.

Diprco Main Beach is now open – scoot to The Directory for opening times and contact details.
