Fancy an afternoon of flowing wines, a delicious procession of mouth-watering food, plenty of chatter and warm Italian hospitality? Mark your calendars for Saturday March 8 – Cucina Vivo’s sell-out Italian Long Lunch is back by popular demand, and you’re going to want a seat at the table.
No one does a long lunch quite like the Italians. And for the 2025 iteration of its famed Italian Long Lunch, Cucina Vivo at The Star Gold Coast is inviting diners to embrace Italy’s time-honoured tradition with a leisurely long-table feast where every bite is savoured and the conversation flows just as freely as the wine.
With live music setting the mood and the sparkling pool as the backdrop, the breezy Italian Long Lunch event promises to transport diners to Southern Italy with a delicious share-style menu of authentic Italian eats. An eye-catching antipasti spread will kick off the lunch, filling the tables with an arrangement of Calabrese salami, San Danielle prosciutto, herb-infused ham, Italian olives, buffalo mozzarella and ciabatta, before a bounty of delicious mains arrive.
Forks will twirl into plates of 30-hour ragu bolognese with pangattato, served alongside blistering woodfired pizzas topped with fior di latte, Italian cured meats and basil, and fresh salads like rocket, parmigiano reggiano and pear.
The long-lunch experience is paired with a free-flowing selection of Squealing Pig wines, with the likes of prosecco, pinot noir and lemon spritz on pour for your sipping pleasure across the afternoon.
The unmissable long-table Italian feast will round out in the best way possible – with proper Italian tiramisu layered with house-baked savoiardi, Montenegro liqueur and luscious mascarpone diplomat creme. Molto bene!
