Did you forget to bring your lunch in today? Are the options close to the office not enticing anymore? Has a friend hit you up to grab lunch, but pay day is still a few days away? Howard Smith Wharves has a solution to your problems. The riverside hub has brought back Let’s Dine – a mouth-watering array of bang-on bargains available Monday to Thursday, from now until Thursday April 3. Here’s what’s on the menu …
Stanley, Greca, Yoko, Ciao Papi – most of these restaurants regularly feature on top of our best places to dine lists, but it’s not often that we get to include them amongst Brisbane’s best cheap feeds, too! From Monday February 3 to Thursday April 3, Howard Smith Wharves is giving foodies the chance to enjoy some incredible mid-week dining deals across its cadre of eateries with Let’s Dine. Each of the waterfront hub’s haunts will be offering sumptuous eats for a steal from Monday to Thursday, with options for lunch and dinner on the cards.
The Let’s Dine fun kicks off at Mr Percival’s, which is serving the likes of grilled market fish with acqua pazza, lemon and shoestring fries ($29) and char-grilled pork cutlet with salsa rossa, caponata, marjoram and jus ($29) from 11:00 am to late. Felons Brewing Co. is getting in on the action with double smash burgers with bacon, cheese, bacon jam, burger sauce, pickled onions and chips ($25), while over at Felons Barrel Hall, guests can devour chicken and cashew stir fry with choi sum, Thai basil, chilli jam and steamed rice ($25), and warm pork salad with fresh herbs, cucumber, chilli lime dressing and crispy rice cakes ($15). Both Felons venues will be offering deals until late.
If you’re after a multi-course feast, then you’ll be pleased to hear that Ciao Papi is offering a two-course lunch menu for $49 that includes your choice of entree (stracciafella with figs, honey and miso, perhaps?) and main (how does a serve of paccheria alla Sorrentia sound?) with a glass of wine or beer. Down the other end of the wharf front, Stanley is also pumping out its own $49 two-course lunch menu, featuring the likes of duck and vermicelli spring rolls, cucumber and snow pea salad, Shanghai duck noodles with pickled mustard greens, dark soy and sesame, and Beijing shredded beef with onion, capsicum and sesame.
Finally, sibling restaurants Greca and Yoko are also getting amongst the Let’s Dine fun with some one-of-a-kind deals. Get your Greek on at Greca with the restaurant’s $35 souvlaki platter, boasting a yoghurt-filled flatbread with roasted vegetables and your choice of chicken, halloumi or seasonal vegetables. Yoko is slinging two types of bento boxes for $35 a pop – one filled with sashimi salad, sushi, cucumber sesame maki and barbecue trout, and a vegan-friendly box with agedashi mushroom tofu, koji chilli vegetables, and miso soup.
