Bigger, bolder and zestier – March Into Margarita is taking over Fish Lane next month

Summer may be coming to a close, but margarita season is only just starting to warm up. Fish Lane Arts Precinct is set to transform into a tequila lover’s wonderland next month, as March Into Margarita makes a triumphant return for 2025. Here’s what’s on the cards …

‘Bigger, bolder and zestier’ is the unofficial tagline for this year’s March Into Margarita festivities, which are running in collaboration with Espolòn Tequila all throughout March. As one would expect, the March Into Margarita program is jam-packed with tequila-fuelled experiences, starting with the ever-popular Margarita Trail. On Saturday March 1, Fish Lane’s numerous bars and restaurants will be serving a number of tequila-infused cocktails between 3:00–6:00 pm, with guests starting at Midtown (where they’ll enjoy a tipple and nibble on arrival) before receiving five tokens to use at participating venues like Hello Please, Bar Brutus and Next Episode.

Up next is Southside’s Margs-A-Million party on Sunday March 16 – an event hailed as Brisbane’s biggest and most festive margarita (and agave) fiesta. The event will see the Southside crew shaking up more than ten creative margarita and agave-laced cocktails, while the restaurant’s chefs whip up a menu of bold East Asian classics. A team of agave experts will be manning a special mezcal and tequila tasting station, which will be offering tasting flights of rare and special drops from several esteemed spirit makers. Meanwhile, The Mad Mariachi will keep vibes high with its mariachi-style covers of contemporary songs. The event kicks off from 12:00 pm – tickets can be snagged here.

Later in the month, Southside will link up with the top-tier taco slingers from Baja Modern Mexican for a collaborative dining event on Sunday March 23. Benny Lam (Southside) and Julius Villamor (Baja) will create a unique three-course menu and dessert that blends Southside’s bold Asian flavours with Baja’s modern Mexican stylings, with seats available now for $108 per person.

On Thursday March 20, Chu The Phat will host The Phat Fiesta, an evening of Asian-inspired margarita twists, Mexican beats and giveaways. The following week on Wednesday March 26, Midtown will host The Margarita Edit, an intimate affair that will see refined margaritas paired with delicious small plates curated by Midtown’s head chef Daniel Miletic. Every Friday and Saturday, between 3:00–5:00 pm, Hello Please will be serving up a tight menu of margs, tacos and ceviche – enjoy to welcome the weekend in style.

Of course, margaritas will be on offer at participating venues throughout March. Catch us posted up at Chu the Phat with a gochujang margarita in hand, sipping on a Sun Riser at Bar Brutus and putting our hand up for another Pina Margarita at Kiki.
