This weekend will have you feasting through a $5 food trail at the Lunar New Year street party, kicking back to live tunes at Broadbeach Beats & Eats, sipping pisco sours at a Peruvian party and rocking out at Miami Marketta. Feast through a $5 food trail at the Lunar New Year Street Party on Saturday February 1. Taking over Davenport and Young Streets from 3:00 pm, the family-friendly event will feature lion and dragon dancers, buzzing market stalls and fun-filled activities like lotus origami, woodblock painting and Chinese calligraphy. Get your groove on with roving fan and umbrella dancing, make a wish at the interactive wishing tree and snack around Chinatown to score the best bites in town on the $5 Food Safari. The festivities wrap up with a spectacular fireworks finale at 7:30 pm.

Dine and dance at Broadbeach Beats & Eats this Sunday February 2. The event is now in its second year and it’s promising to serve up even more music, delicious food and family-friendly fun this time around. Local restaurants will be offering special takeaway menus so you can roll out a rug in the pop-up picnic space and soak up live tunes around the Broadbeach Mall stage.

The Peruvian Pisco Sour Day is taking over the The Historic Rivermill in Mount Nathan with traditional Peruvian food stalls, Marinera dances on horseback, live DJs, salsa dancing and, of course, proper pisco sours! It all kicks off at 9:00 am.

Rock out to the Hoodoo Gurus at Miami Marketta this Sunday February 2. The iconic four-piece is in town celebrating 40 years of hits from its Stoneage Romeos LP, with Magic Dirt kicking off the night at 7:00 pm.

Enjoy at afternoon of life tunes at Sunday Sounds at Paradise Point on Sunday February 2. Taking over the Paradise Point Parklands from 2:00–5:00 pm, the popular live-music event sees local talent take the stage for an afternoon of hits. BYO camping chair and snacks and settle in as The Vinyl Revival takes the stage.

Check out light-filled wonder Magic by Moonlight at Southport’s Broadwater Parklands before it wraps up. Home to an incredible 400 captivating larger-than-life 3D light sculptures, featuring more than 30,000 lightbulbs, Magic by Moonlight is sure to enchant.
